Trainee sub-inspector arrested for molesting woman

Delhi Police has arrested a trainee sub-inspector in connection with a complaint of molestation and extortion by a woman in north west Delhi's Mukhjerji Nagar area.
A case has been registered under charges of molestation and extortion on the complaint of the woman and the accused Dipak, a trainee sub-inspector, has been arrested, said a senior police officer.
The accused met the complainant while attending a coaching centre, during his student days in preparation of competitive recruitment tests, at Mukherji Nagar.
Later, the accused was selected as a sub-inspector in Delhi Police in 2015 and was posted at Mukherji Nagar police station as a trainee. He allegedly contacted the complainant again and both started talking on phone and exchange messages, police said.

The complainant has also handed over a video clip in support of her complaint to the police.
The matter has been also referred to the district investigation unit of the north west district police for a report, said the officer.
