Tree near Thackeray residence catches fire

A tree in front of 'Matoshree', the residence of the Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray in suburban Bandra, caught fire this afternoon.
Fire brigade received a call at 2.49 pm about a tree on the Madhusudan Kalekar road in Bandra (East) catching fire, officials said. The fire was put out soon.
It was suspected that bursting of crackers around the tree -- as the results of civic elections came in -- led to the fire.
