Five persons sitting on a road divider were killed and three others injured when they were hit by a truck here on the Kanpur-Jhansi National Highway, police said today.
The victims were on their way to Bithoor in Kanpur for a dip in the Ganga river when a tyre of their SUV got punctured and they sat on the divider while the tyre was being changed, said Suprintendent of Police (SP) Amrendra Singh
