Tutor arrested for molesting girl student

A coaching class tutor here has been arrested for allegedly molesting a teenage girl student, police said.
According to ASI Mhaske of Virar police station, accused Jayprakash S Gabre (37) repeatedly molested the girl between May and July this year when she came for the classes.
The accused used to touch her inappropriately. Fed up of the constant abuse, the girl opened up to her parents after which a complaint was registered with the Virar police station.
The tutor has been charged under section 354 of the IPC and also under section 7 and 8 of the POSA Act, police said.

In another incident in Nalla Sopara here, a girl aged nine who had gone to play in the neighbourhood was molested by her friend's brother aged around 12, police said.
Based on a complaint by the victim, an offence under section 354 of the IPC had been registered and the accused minor has been taken into custody.
