TV Today Q1 jumps over two-fold to Rs 32.79 crore

TV Today Network today reported over two-fold increase in standalone net profit at Rs 32.79 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 11.98 crore during the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal, TV Today Network said in a filing to the BSE.

Total income increased 54.10%o Rs 137 crore during the quarter under review this fiscal as against Rs 88.90 crore of the same period a year ago.

Revenues from TV broadcasting increased 55.61%o Rs 133.64 crore in the first quarter of FY 2014-15 as against Rs 85.88 in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

TV Today's revenue from FM radio broadcasting in Q1 increased 11.62%o Rs 3.36 crore as against Rs 3.01 crore in same quarter of the previous fiscal.

Shares of TV Today closed at Rs 137 apiece on BSE, up 0.22% from previous close.
