TVS Logistics Services, part of the TVS Group, today said the company's UK division TVS Supply Chain Solutions would become regional hub for Europe.
TVS Logistics Services Managing Director R Dinesh is part of a delegation along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a three-day visit to the United Kingdom.
"The UK business has multiplied its revenue nearly seven times in the last five years from 40 million pounds (Rs 400 crore) to 274 million pounds (Rs 2,740 crore) forecast for this financial year", the Chennai-based company said in a statement.
"The company's successful growth is attributed to its ability to identify unique capability and deploy it in other parts of the world, including India".
As part of strengthening its presence, the company would soon open a new logistics facility in Barnsley, England.
Spread across 1.65 lakh square foot, the company is setting up the unit with a rental commitment of Rs 200 crore.
The facility will have distribution warehouse, a logistics and distribution training centre, and would create 100 new jobs.

"The contract (valued at) five billion pounds over a 13 year period will see TVS play a key role in data management, inventory management, procurement and product sourcing for the full range of military and non-military commodities required by the Ministry", it said.
"The UK is a highly successful investment destination for TVS Logistics. Using our unique capability, TVS Logistics will work to help the Make in India campaign successful as it has the know-how to make manufacturing in India Logistically competitive", Dinesh said.
TVS Logistics has made three acquisitions in the United Kingdom and operates through 47 locations. Its business is primarily in supply chain services for clients in Defence, Industrial, Automotive and Technology sectors.
