Two arms smugglers were arrested with one carbine, seven pistols, one revolver and 420 live cartridges in Rajasthan's Sikar district today, police said.
Based on a tip-off, the accused Chandra Bhan and Naresh were arrested during a search at a check post, they said.
They tried evading arrest but were nabbed after a chase, the police said.
The accused were about to deliver the weapons to a syndicate, Sikar SP Vineet Rathore said.
One carbine, seven pistols, one revolver and 420 live cartridges were recovered from their possession, he said. The accused are being interrogated, he added.
