The victim, identified as Nitish Kumar, a resident of northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar area, went missing from Ballabhgarh in Haryana, where he had gone with his friends, the police said.
The accused later turned out to be Nitish's friend Santosh Kumar (22) and his brother-in-law Sanoj Kumar (23). Based on a tip-off, the police arrested both on Saturday, said DCP (Northwest) Vijay Singh.
During interrogation, the accused told the police that Sanoj Ram held a grudge against Nitish, who had allegedly beaten him in public after an argument.
They took Nitish to a forested area in northeast Delhi's Usmanpur area, where they allegedly stabbed Nitish to death, crushed his head with a stone and dumped his body, they added.
