persons from Lalbazar area of the city today for allegedly duping several people on the pretext of training them on Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The duo Amit Saini and Abhisekh Tibriwal were detained from a building opposite Kolkata Police headquarters this afternoon after several people lodged a complaint with the New Market Police Station, a senior officer of Kolkata Police said.
"The duo along with others entered into criminal conspiracy and published an advertisement in different newspapers on different dates calling themselves an organisation of government of India named National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development," the officer said.
Several documents have been seized from the duo, who were booked under several sections of the IPC.
