Two arrested for gang-rape in Tripura

Two youths were arrested for allegedly gang-raping a married woman from Banikya Chowmuhani area, about 20 kilometres from here, police said today.
Both the accused, known to the victim, were arrested yesterday, IG (police control) Nepal Das said.
The incident had taken place on September 20, when the accused offered to drop her home as she was returning from office, the IG said.
As they boarded an autorickshaw, the victim was made unconscious by a soft drink and gang-raped in a hotel on September 20 last, Das said.
Later, she told her husband about the incident, who lodged a complaint with the East Agartala police station, he said.
