A man identified as Thakur Singh, resident of Ramnagar area of Udhampur district, was arrested with 53 pouches of country made illicit liquor during a surprise check yesterday, a police spokesman said.
In another incident, a man was arrested and 450 grams of cannabis was allegedly seized from his possession in the Ramban district.
The man, identified as Javed Ahmed, was found roaming suspiciously, the spokesman said.
450 grams of cannabis were found in his possession, he said adding that multiple cases have been registered against both the accused.
