Two booked for attempt to rape after court order

An FIR has been lodged on a court order against two persons here for allegedly attempting to rape a woman and beating her.
Moharpal, along with another person, was booked by police yesterday on orders of the court for allegedly attempting to rape and beating the victim in Kathigara village here, police said.
According to the complaint, the accused entered her house on July 16 and tried to rape her. They beat her up when she resisted.
They fled from the spot when the woman raised alarm, police said, adding that they threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anyone.

The victim had alleged that police had refused to lodge an FIR following which she moved court.
No arrests have been made so far, police said.
