Two brothers killed in gas cylinder explosion

Two minor brothers were charred to death in Pithampura area here this evening when an LPG cylinder in their shanty exploded, fire service official said.
The incident took place when Ajay (5) and Sahil (12) were alone in their shanty number 302 in GT Block Pithampura, the official said.
"The LPG cylinder exploded first and then the fridge also caught fire. We got a call at around 7:24 pm, following which two fire tenders were rushed to the spot," an official said.
The two boys were pulled out and rushed to Ambedkar Hospital in a PCR van where they were declared brought dead.

In another incident, a 20-year-old youth drowned in Yamuna river near Yamuna Bridge in Kalindi Kunj at around 4 pm, police said.
He was rescued and rushed to Apollo hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
