Another head constable, who also consumed the liquor, has been referred to Jodhpur in serious condition, a senior official said.
As an early side-effect of the spurious liquor, all three of them lost their vision.
The incident took place this afternoon when three head constables of the 63 battalion of the BSF's Gujarat Frontier -- Tapan Das from West Bengal, Bhal Singh and Mukhtya Singh from Rajasthan-- all posted at different border posts near Gadra Road of Barmer consumed the spurious liquor.
An investigation has been started by the Barmer police at the request of BSF officials, a police official said.
"After consumption of the liquor, the condition of all the three worsened. They were taken to Gadra Road Primary Health Center, where Das died while Bhal Singh died in government hospital at Barmer.
"Seeing the serious condition of the Mukhtyar Singh, he was rushed to Jodhpur," said a BSF official.
A doctor from Barmer government hospital, Hanumanaram, said they died due to consumption of methyl alcohol, the main component of the spurious liquor.
While the Barmer police has initiated an investigation about the availability of spurious liquor in the border areas and its manufacturing.
