Two cops arrested for colleague's murder

Two police constables, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the killing of their colleague in what appears to be a fallout of an alleged love triangle in this district.
Police said today the accused Amirtaraj and another constable Kalyanai were allegedly having an illicit relationship with the married woman constable.
Last night, Kalyanai visited the house of the woman here accompanied by his friends Sundarapandi, Chandran and Santhana Kumar, all constables, and found Amirtaraj there.
An argument broke out between the two leading to a clash. Amirtaraj suddenly brandished a knife and started attacking the others and in the melee Sundarapandi suffered injuries, police said.

He was rushed to a hospital but was declared brought dead, they added.
Police later arrested Amirtaraj and the woman in connection with the murder.
Kalyanai, Chandran and Santhanakumar were taken into custody for questioning, police said.
