Two cops killed, four injured in road accident

Two policemen died and four others were injured after their jeep collided with a prison van in Mahjor Bazaar under Kasmabad police station area today morning.
Constables Akshay Kumar (45) and Indradev Upadhaya (50) were killed on the spot. The injured were admitted to a local hospital, police said.
Police said the prison van was on its way to Deoria court with some jail inmates when the accident happened.
The inmates and policemen in the van escaped unhurt, they added.
