Sunil Kumar and Lala Ram were arrested while allegedly accepting Rs 2 lakh as bribe on behalf of custom officers from a complainant who is engaged in business through container depot, CBI's Press Information Officer R K Gaur told PTI on telephone from Delhi.
The accused were produced before the Designated Court at Jaipur and remanded to four days of police custody, an official release said.
In a complaint filed with CBI, the complainant alleged that Jain had demanded the bribe for release of seized imported goods at ICD, Jaipur through Pareek, the then Superintendent Custom, Nathmal, and the two custom agents, the PIO said.
A trap was then laid and the two agents were arrested allegedly while demanding and accepting the bribe from complainant, he said.
