Two-day Mizoram Assembly session summoned from Aug 30

A two-day session of Mizoram Assembly has been summoned by Governor Lt Gen (retd) Nirbhay Sharma for ratification of the Constitutional amendment for effective implementation of GST.
The session will begin on August 30 next, additional secretary of the state legislature S. R. Zokhuma today said.
Zokhuma told PTI that the session calendar was chalked out at a meeting of Business Advisory Committee (BAC) chaired by Speaker Hiphei today.
Besides ratification of the Constitutional amendment for effective implementation of the GST, legislation of vehicle tax ordinance and election to the financial committees of the assembly would be taken up during the session, he added.
