Two-day monsoon session of the Gujarat Assembly will commence from September 18 at Gandhinagar, officials said today.
BJP chief whip in the Assembly, Pankaj Desai, said that apart from the usual business, the House would pass a resolution condoling the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on September 18.
"The Assembly will meet on September 18 and 19. On the first day, the members of the House would express their thoughts during a resolution condoling the death of Vajpayee. Other businesses are not finalised yet," he said.
This will be the second session of the 14th Gujarat Assembly following elections held in December last year. The Assembly last met in February this year for the Budget session.
