Two DHNA operatives arrested

Two militants belonging to Dima Hasao National Army (DHNA) were arrested along with a cache of arms and ammunition.
According to an Assam Rifles officer, the duo was apprehended last night from Jagdi area under Maibang police station in the Dima Hasao district.
After getting information about their presence, the Assam Rifles launched an operation, which lasted for about five hours.
The militants have been identified as Moton Langthasa and Loti Hojai.
The forces recovered one Single Barrel Muzzle Loading gun, one 9 mm pistol and five rounds live ammunition of the pistol, the officer said.
Later, the apprehended cadres along with arms and ammunition were handed over to Maibong police station for further investigation.
