Uttapalla Guravaish (30) and Lingmurthy Goda (24) from Vijayawada and Warangal districts respectively were arrested on Tuesday, police said.
During routine patrolling at the New Delhi Railway Station, police found the behaviour of the duo suspicious and checked them.
"On checking of the four bags they had, 40 kgs of Ganja was recovered from their possession. Both the persons were arrested and a case under the appropriate sections of the NDPS Act was registered," a senior police official said.
During interrogation, the duo claimed that one person met them back home and and asked them to take four bags with them to Delhi and offered Rs 3000 each.
