Two hacked to death in broad daylight

A four-member gang today hacked to death two persons in broad daylight here, police said.
Police suspect that it was done to avenge the killing of one Vinodh, who was done to death due to previous enmity some months ago, police said.
One of the deceased S Selvaj of Selvapuram had come out from jail on bail a couple of days ago and was talking to his friend Anand this afternoon,they said.
On seeing the four assailants on two motor cycles approaching them, they tried to escape in Anand's autorickshaw.
However, the gang chased and attacked them with lethal weapons, killing Anand on the spot, police said.

They chased Selvam and attacked him using sickles.
Though he was rushed to the government hospital, he succumbed to his injuries after some time, police said.
The four later surrendered before police at the Selvapuram station, they said, adding, further investigations were on.
