Dinesh Khangar, 22, and Naeem Ali, 28, were arrested on July 2 by a team of Special Cell (northern range) on a tip off when they were exchanging heroin in west Delhi's Madipur, a senior police official said.
A Special Cell (northern range) team was working on an input about an inter-state gang involved in supply of high grade heroin from Manipur to Delhi and Punjab, via Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, for past several months, DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said.
Police also recovered seven mobile phones and several SIM cards from them.
The team, led by inspector Attar Singh, has so far recovered 21 kg of heroin this year from 12 drug suppliers, added the officer.
