Two held with over 1,000 pouches of illicit liquor in Jammu

Two persons were arrested and over 1,000 pouches of country made illicit liquor were recovered from their possession in the outskirts of Jammu city today.
On specific information, police stopped a car near Gho Manhasan area on the outskirts of the city and during the checking, 1,024 pouches of country made illicit liquor were recovered, a police officer said.
The two accused have been identified as Surjeet Singh and Vicky Kumar, both residents of Gho Manhasan, the officer said.
He said that a case under various sections of the state Excise Act has been registered against the two and further investigation is on.
