Two IAS officers will face departmental inquiry in connection with different charges against them, a senior government official said today.
The Principal Secretary of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Raj Bhasha, S K Satpathy, said a departmental committee would be set up to inquire into the allegations against the two IAS officers - Sunil Kumar and Puja Singhal.
Kumar was facing charges of getting NTPC deputy general manager Rakesh Nandan beaten up by his security guards on February 15 this year when the former was the deputy commissioner of Hazaribagh, Satpathy said.
Singhal was facing charges of financial irregularities in MGNREGA funds when she was the deputy commissioner of Chatra district.
The decision to initiate departmental inquiry after preliminary investigation into the allegations against the duo was based on prima facie evidence.
