A 109-year-old Indian man is among the two centenarians from the country in Saudi Arabia, who will perform Haj this year.
Injil Hossain Biswas from Murshidabad in West Bengal, is the oldest Indian Haj pilgrim at the age of 109.
100-year-old Abdur Rahim from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, is the second centenarian among India's Haj pilgrims.
A third pilgrim named Fida Husain from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, is also among one of the oldest pilgrims from India performing Haj this year. He is 98 years old.
All of them have come through India's Haj Committee.
Of the 1,36,020 Indian pilgrims who have reached Saudi Arabia to perform Haj this year, 1,00,020 have come through the Haj Committee of India.
Over two million pilgrims from across the globe will begin their trek to the tent city of Mina tomorrow in the first leg of the five-day pilgrimage.
The Haj will reach its zenith on Friday, October 3, when nearly 3 million pilgrims stand on the plains of Arafat.
The pilgrimage will end after Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice.
The pilgrimage is one of the five pillars of Islam that should be performed at least once in lifetime by every Muslim who is financially and physically capable.
Indian Consul General B S Mubarak has said all preparations have been completed to ensure that the 1,36,000 Indian pilgrims can perform a hassle-free Haj with everything going according to plan.
