Two persons have been injured when a grenade of the BSF exploded in Assam's Morigaon district Saturday, police said.
The BSF personnel on NRC duty near Jhargaon area had lost a grenade yesterday which was found by the two this evening, the police said.
The grenade had been issued to a BSF constable of BSF F/98 batallion, the police said.
One of the two men picked up the grenade and removed its safety pin with the help of pliers and it exploded. The explosion dealt him and another person minor injuries.
The two were rushed to a nearby hospital and they were released after being adminsitered first aid.
The remnants of the grenade were seized and the BSF authorities were informed.
