two killed, two injured as ambulance hit two-wheeler

: Two persons were killed and two others, including a woman, injured when an ambulance hit a two-wheeler near Palladam in Tirupur district today, police said.
Those killed were a man riding the two wheeler and an assistant in the ambulance. Those injured were the two wheeler rider's wife and the ambulance driver
They said the ambulance collided with the two-wheeler, throwing the couple on the road, after which the driver of the four wheeler lost control of his vehicle, hit an advertisement board and fell on its side.
Police, aided by members of the public, brought and admitted all the four to the government hospital here.

However the two wheeler driver and the ambulance assistant succumbed to injuries, they said.
The ambulance was coming from Tirupur to the city when the mishap occurred.
