Two missing teenage girls rescued from Jammu

Two teenage girls who went missing last week from Singdan-Warson village of Kupwara district were rescued from Jammu, police said today.
The two girls, both 15 years of age, went missing from their village in north Kashmir on April 14 when they left for the nearby market to buy some food items, a police spokesperson said here.
After receiving the missing complaint, the police launched a massive search operation during which it was surfaced that the girls have been kidnapped. Subsequently, a case was registered and an investigating team raided many places to trace them, he said.
Upon getting information that the girls were in Jammu, a police team was immediately sent to the winter capital of the state, following which they were rescued, he said
A woman, identified as Shaheena, a resident of Hatmulla village of Kupwara district, has been arrested, the spokesperson said.
Further investigation was on, he said, adding more arrests are expected.
