Two more FIRs were filed against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Assam today for her alleged "instigating remarks" that threatened the unity of the country and her attempt to create unrest in the state, Director General of Police (DGP) Kuladhar Saikia said.
The DGP told reporters in Guwahati that two cases were filed against Banerjee today at the Pan Bazar and Basistha police stations in Guwahati, in addition to the one filed against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief in Lakhimpur district yesterday.
Reacting to the development, Banerjee told reporters in Kolkata, "They have done such a great thing. I am sitting here in West Bengal. What will the FIRs against me in Assam do?"
