The gunmen, who were on a motorcycle, fired at a taxi in which the two Hazara men were travelling at Shahrah-e-Iqbal. The men were killed instantly and two passers-by were injured, police officials said.
The gunmen escaped after the attack. Rescue teams took the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.
Police officials confirmed that the dead men belonged to the minority Hazara Shia community, which has been the target of a series of terrorist attacks in Quetta and nearby areas.
