Two students allegedly committed suicide here in separate incidents over their poor performance in the Intermediate (Class XI and XII) exams, police said today.
A 16-year-old student of Intermediate first year (XI) at Kukatpally failed in four subjects in the results declared yesterday, they said.
He was a student of Intermediate first year with Maths, Economics and Commerce (MEC) group.
The parents had left for work after consoling him. The boy's father called him around noon but he did not respond, they said.
The boy's body was allegedly found hanging from the ceiling fan, police said.
In the other incident, a 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after she got poor marks in the Intermediate first year exam at Vanasthalipuram yesterday.
