Narain alias Dolly (27) and Vikram Singh alias Veetu tricked the policemen while being taken back to jail from the court yesterday, Jail Superintendent J P Rai said.
He said that while Dolly was in jail in connection with attempt to murder and other charges since March, Veetu has a dozen criminal cases including that of loot and dacoity against him.
Rai said that efforts are being made to nab the criminals.
