Two women crushed to death by ambulance in UP

Two women, out on morning walk, died today after being hit by an ambulance on Patti-Dhakwa road, about 40 kms from the district headquarters.
The deceased have been identified as Durgawati and Vimla (both aged 45), police said.
They were on morning walk when they were hit by a government ambulance in Aaspur Devsara police station area near Amargarh bazar, they said.
The ambulance driver fled the scene of the accident with the vehicle and an FIR has been lodged against him, police said adding that the bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.
