Two women run over by van in Bhilwara

Two women were killed and three others injured when a pick up van hit them in Kania Khedi village in the district today.
The accident occurred when the victims were having lunch at a function outside a house where the van was parked, police said.
"The driver started the vehicle by mistake and pressed the accelerator peddle instead of applying brakes. This proved fatal for the two women," SHO Hamirgarh Gajraj Chaudhary said.
The women, identified as Kali (35) and Hagami (60), died on spot, he said, adding that the injured are being treated at a local hospital.
Police have seized the vehicle and detained the driver.
