U'kd govt announces names of heli service providers to Kedarnath, their rates

The state government today announced the names of private heli companies which would provide shuttle services to pilgrims from Guptkashi, Fata and Sirsi in Mandakini valley to Kedarnath.

Aero Trans Bharat and Aryan Aviation would provide a shuttle service between Guptkashi and Kedarnath at the rate of Rs 7,300, Additional Chief Secretary Civil Avitation Om Prakash said.

Pavanhans, UT Air and Pinnacle Aviation would provide the shuttle service from Fata to Kedarnath at the rate of Rs 6,700 while Himalayan, Heritage and Global Vectra Aviation would provide the services between Sirsi and the Himalayan shrine at the rate of Rs 6,350, he said.

Seventy per cent of the tickets for the shuttle journeys to the shrine would have to be booked online.

If any of the air shuttle service providers charges more than the rates announced complaints can be lodged on Civil Aviation Department's fax no 0135-2714106 or on the official mail of the Rudraprayag district magistrate or his mobile no8859504001, Prakash said.
