U'khand CM asks banks to start mobile cash van services

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today asked leading banks to operate 'mobile cash vans' in remote hill areas of the state to give locals quick access to new currency notes.
"Leading banks in the state have been asked to operate mobile cash vans in remote hill areas so that locals can get cash quickly and easily," an official release said here.
A request has been sent to the managements of the banks in this regard, it said.
The state government reached out to banks to start operating cash vans eyeing the shortage of banking services in remote hill areas.
The state government will provide adequate security to the cash vans, Rawat assured.

The Chief Minister said, people, especially in remote hill areas, are facing many problems due to the paucity of currency notes.
