"A call was received on 100 number that a black-coloured briefcase was lying unclaimed at a fruit juice shop at the INA Market. We then immediately cordoned off the area around it and called in the anti-bomb squad," police said.
The call came at around 9 pm. The anti-bomb squad later checked and opened the briefcase. A cap and some documents were found, but no identity proofs, a head constable on duty in the market area under Kotla Mubarakpur police station said.
The police has taken possession of the briefcase and the area has been unsealed, he said.
