The action was taken on the basis of a video that showed Constable Riyaz Ahmad of Sirsiya police station in Shravasti district showering notes on a danseuse at a programme here, they said.
He was donning the uniform while indulging in the unsavoury act, the police said, adding, he was placed under immediate suspension on the orders of state DGP OP Singh.
A probe too has been order in the matter.
