UP: Charitable trust official booked for assaulting employee

An official of a charitable trust has been booked for allegedly assaulting a staff member of a hospital run by it here, triggering protest by employees.
According to a complaint filed by Hardev Singh, employee of the hospital run by Braj Chikitsa Sansthan at Govind Nagar police station, Secretary Gaurav Agarwal beat him up and hit his head against the wall after he reached office yesterday, police said.
He was seriously injured in the incident.
Following this, the hospital staff went on strike alleging that Agarwal often misbehaved and beat them up, police said.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway, they added.
