Party national general secretary and UP incharge Madhusudan Mistry told reporters that before next assembly elections in the state Congress has time of around two and a half years.
He said that to revive the party in this period a meeting of 30 senior party leaders including Mohsina Kidwai and Ammar Rizvi was held.
Mistry said that during the meeting several suggestions on how to raise issues, improve organisational structure, improve internal communication and selection of candidates were made.
He said that suggestions were also made on how Congress would take forward local issues during zila panchayat elections.
