UP Governor hails Adityanath govt for 'improved' law & order

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik said here today that the law and order situation in UP has improved significantly under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, but there was still scope for improvement.

"As compared to the previous government, there has been significant improvement in the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh. But there is still scope for improvement," he said.

Naik was talking to reporters here on the completion of four years in office.

Praising Yogi Adityanath for his efforts towards transforming Uttar Pradesh into 'Uttam Pradesh' (best state), Naik said, "Not only the law and order situation has improved, but investors across the country have shown faith in UP and decided to invest to the tune of Rs 4.28 lakh crore."
Naik, 84, who assumed the charge of UP governor of in July 2014, said, "During this four-year-period, I received 808 mercy petitions and so far granted pardon in 79 cases on the merit of the petitions."
