"Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced to rename UPTU as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University. It has been also decided to construct a grand memorial for Kalam in the new campus of the university," an official spokesman said here.
Yadav said that Kalam had deep association with the state.
