UP woman raped by husband, FIR registered on court's order

The police here have registered a case on a court's order against a man for allegedly raping his wife.

The case was registered yesterday on the court's order. The woman has alleged that she was raped by her husband on October 20, 2017, police said.

The woman alleged that despite her lodging a complaint and giving a copy of the same to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) no action was taken.

The case was registered only after the court's intervention, she said.

The police said that the matter was being investigated.
