"We are planning to come up with a Single Permit system - north of Delhi applicable to all northern states Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, J-K, to make seamless travel possible for tourists, especially tourist buses and cars coming here", said Sharma while addressing conference on tourism.
"To boost tourism in north, we need to develop a system under which a tourist doesn't have to pay taxes at entry points of all states, rather tourist buses and cars should be asked to pay a single permit tax applicable to all states.
He further said a tourist facilitation centre will soon come up here, besides setting up a convention centre to boost tourism.
"The aim of the Centre is to make visit permits easy and smooth for a lot of tourists who face many hurdles in getting passes issued due to security reasons " he said.
