"We are contemplating to set up a separate cadre for bank security to avoid incidents of robbery. A committee has been formed to look into financial aspects and sign MOU with banks to provide them (with) trained security personnel," ADG, Law and Order Arun Kumar told reporters here.

Such cadre existed in Karnataka and Maharashtra, he said, adding that this step is needed in the state in the present scenario.

Technological advancements, like CCTV and alarms, are also being looked at to keep a check on bank robberies, he added.
