The complainant, who had come to India on a tourist visa and lived at a friend's house in Saket, told police that on May 11, she had gone to meet a friend at his residence in Gagan Vihar.
When she reached there, there was no electricity at his house, following which they both went to a hotel in east Delhi.
They had dinner there, following which the friend persuaded her to accompany her to a room where they were joined by two others around 2 AM, a police official said.
Later, her friend allegedly forced himself upon her and went off to sleep, while the others left the room.
The accused also allegedly threatened her not to leave the room without permission but the complainant escaped once he was asleep and reported the matter to police the next day, the official said.
She also told police that the accused called her up the next morning apologising for his act and claimed that he was in an inebriated state.
However, no one has been arrested in connection with the matter yet.
