The 28-year-old "Badlapur" actor, took to social networking site Twitter to share the news with his fans.
"The 2nd schedule of #dishoom is wrapped. Gonna miss everyone. We have just one aim to give you the best action adventure film of 2016. Salaam," he wrote.
"Dishoom", an action-adventure film backed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, also stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is slated to release next year.
Varun was last seen in Remo D'Souza's "ABCD2".
