Director Bejoy Nambiar says it was daunting for him to direct megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar in his upcoming film 'Wazir'.
'Wazir' stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Farhan Akhtar and Varun Gulu.
"It's very daunting and intimidating when you work with such a star cast. At no point they made me feel like I am a newcomer or less experienced. I have to forget I am directing Big B and Farhan. I have to do justice to what Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat have written," Bejoy told reporters at the teaser launch of 'Wazir' here.
"I feel fortunate that I am getting to work with such brilliant people. It's been a great learning course for me. Vidhu Vinod Chopra writing, Raju Hirani editing and Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar acting. I really hope the film comes up to everyone's expectations," he said.
Chopra is full of praise for Bejoy. "He has nicely directed the film," he said.
"We take four-five years to write scripts and make film. We never run behind a film or a project. We don't make a film until and unless we are satisfied... I am very proud of this young man (Bejoy)," he said.
Bachchan plays the character of a paralysed chess grand master while Farhan Akhtar dons the tough look of an ATS officer.
On reports that actors Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abrahan too are part of this film, Bejoy said, "They both play pivotal roles in the film. It's special appearance.
