"Very light rains occurred in few parts of the city tonight," a MeT official said.
The weatherman has predicted very light rainfall for tomorrow as well, but there is no forecast for heavy showers.
"The maximum temperature settled at 40.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal, while the minimum was recorded at 27.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, in the day," the MeT official said.
Humidity levels oscillated between 63 and 33 per cent.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum settled at 42.8 degrees Celsius.
